The improvement of Costa del Silencio as an existing residential area to a “Zona residencial de calidad turística”The creation of "Costa del Silencio - Zona residencial de calidad turística" - is the common goal of: Ayuntamiento de Arona, Cabildo and the Canary Islands Government as explained in the assembly of February 2009 by the mayor of Arona himself. In particular we need to mention that the mayor and his deputy of Arona are very ambitious to achieve this aim (See article below).
Assembly at the Culture Center of Las Galletas Feb. 2009
On the 19th of February 2009 a meeting took place at the Culture Center of Las Galletas, to which the mayor of Arona, José Alberto González Reverón had invited the residents of Costa del Silencio and Las Galletas. He was accompanied by the captain of the Guardia Civil Pedro Fernández and other leading staff of the Ayuntamiento of Arona. The focus of this meeting were of following topics:
